Saxo rear heater demister fault

  1. #1
I had the heater and demister fault I bridged 2 brown wires together heater works fine now. I have however bought 3 rear heater demister switches and have same fault with all 3 , the switch will work if I hold it in but when I press it it won't stay in and therefore switch not working. I thought maybe a relay prob but don't know which relay it is? All fuses are fine. Switch lights up when keep it pressed in. Any ideas as I'm clueless. Thanks

    The switches don't latch.

They are push to make, the relay latches and the rear demister is on a timer. I think it's 12 mins.

So if anything, sounds like a relay problem. No I don't know which one it is, because it's probably different on a Saxo to a 106

Early demister switches aren`t on a timer, the later ones are.

Switches still don't latch though do they?

you press them once and they come back out?

if its anything like the 106, its a big orange relay, can be repaired if you know how, otherwise just replace it

Got a spare orange relay if it's needed.

    Yar I know

Just, I wondered if the Saxo was different to the 106's. Seems it isn't

Hi this is exact same issue as me except its just my rear demister not working but does same thing as op is describing. So is it most likely the relay thats faulty?
