Hi, I jump started my saxo today as soon as I connected the leads my toad alarm blew out a cloud of smoke, I didnt see any smoke from the battery alternator ect ... So is it a case of get rid of the alarm and jobs a goodun or is it more serious ... ?

#5Nope everything on correct way e.g possitive then negative just wierd as it was fine the last time this happened, ill just remove the alarm and buy a new battery see if it helps, otherwise its a trip to the local garag

#8You've probably blown the main fuse.
Check all of your fuses and replace the ones you've cooked. -
#10Havent checked the fuses but did have a gander under the the hood, the power cable that leads to my sub the fuse hasnt gone in that or would it not affect it ?

#11Wouldn't affect it. Check the engine bay fuse box for blown fuses.

#12Right checked the fuses I cant see any that have burnt out/black/connection broke, but I will buy all new fuses and write that problem off .. Whoever wired up the alarm did a bodge job and the wires run everywhere so ill sort that and see if it brings any life back
