Best replacement dampers for VTS (not looking to lower)

  1. #1
    Hi all

As my rebuild continues to make my concours-ish out of the box Saxo VTS MK1, I was thinking of replacing the dampers all round on my 66K car.

It feels amazing, but I'm looking to replace all track rod ends, drop links and lower wishbones so figured it may be worth doing upper strut bearings and dampers!

Who makes nice OEM replacement gas charged shocks? Any suggestions?

Or should I stick with 4 fresh legs from Citroen?

Don't mind it a bit stiffer but don't want to ruin it's suppleness.

    Cheers!

Got a feeling that the oem rear shocks were made by Monroe.

You can pick up b4(i think) Bilstein dampers for a fair price.

B6's are good for standard height setups

I think I'd probably go for the Bilstein B4's. Least they are gas charged unlike the original!

Bought the B4's last night from ebay chaps!

Bilstein B6's are 30% stiffer so would have upgraded the ride and chassis control while still looking standard.
