Starting car after Stood For a Year !

   Hi , wonder if anyone can help with this.
   
   Saxo '98 1.1. Left standing for about a year and wont start
   
   I,ve syphoned and replaced fuel , recharged battery , Checked fuel filter and pump are working OK and still no go.
   It will turn over fine but doesn't sound as if it even wants to catch and fire up.
   
   It was running fine when I parked it up a year ago.
   
   Appreciate any help , suggestions

   Have you checked the condition of the spark plugs?

   Not yet but gonna have a look at them today cos I just cant see what else it could be !
   
   i did try to crank it a few times with old fuel and I'm wondering if this has blocked up a fuel line.

   check plugs and that you are getting fuel through to the engine/fuel rail, also can you hear the fuel pump prime when the ignition is turned on?

   Yeah , fuel pump works fine and filter isn't blocked. Tried it again and nearly caught but struggled and died. Gonna recharge battery to full and re-try. Think it just needs kicking back into life after being stood idle for so long.
