Ive started sanding the rocker cover woth really course samd paper and then fine sand paper and its come up with a ok finish which looks better then it did before anyway going to use some brasso later to see if that does anything but do you have to spray it or do anything else to it?

Brasso won`t work mate & when you come to spray you`ll get a reaction with the paint.

    Gunk works for me

Ok mate cheers, I know that it will react but do you have to spray it? And will it just go back to the old state?

If you`re talking about spray painting it then yes as you`ll get the best finish. If you prep & spray it correctly then it`ll last.If you just sand down then leave it then the metal will rust in know time. You could always buy a new rocker cover from citroen.

Yeah I just seen another thread on here saying he sanded it down and used shit loads of auto sol and it gave him the chrome finish I'm after? And he didn't spray it or anything so hopefully it won't come back that quick

Yeah I did look at that but there like 60 quid, and how easy are they to do?

Pretty easy just keep an eye on the which way the stud spacers go on make sure the baffle plate is on the right way up too.Plus don`t overtighten the studs or they`ll shear off.New cover here(same engine cover as saxo)http://www.106parts.com/s2/page1.php...=99&part=14762
