Vts dash dies

   I have a owned a vts mk2 for about 2 months , ever
   Since I've owned it the dash will sometimes die I.e
   All the gauges will drop down for a minute or so
   And the abs / battery and air bag light stay so ,
   The abs does not function while the light is on .
   If I stop the car wait a bit and start again it will be ok for
   A while , do you think this is a duff dash or some other issues?

   A dying alternator can cause this.

   Cheers werzel , the alternator was replaced
   A couple of months ago before I had th car
   But the battery light is always on .
   Will get it checked out . Many thanks
