over heating

My saxo is still over heating, bled the system mixed the coolant ( took loads when the engine was running at mid revs) new thermostat housing and casing, btw I only got the 2 points to bleed as the rear one aint there as my previous post pics show, is that a problem ? Atm the car is useable, temp gauge is just over half most of the time fan works, sometimes hot air some times cold out of the vents, and if im in traffic the red lights shows but not for long, any suggestions? Maybe not having that bleed valve or a water pump ???

Nah i wouldnt say it would be a problem only using 2. i've done that myself and it's fine.

    worst case is hg.

Ok what about the water pump tho?

I bet it's air locked into the matrix hence the need for that bleed point. Did you use the header tank method to bleed it?

Use header tank method, engine off and cold engine. You can do it with the engine at idle as well though.

You have definitely got air in the system.

No I didnt use the header tank method, can some one send me a link for it please, also would I need one of them pipes with the valve? Il get one see. The engie is running up to middle of the gauge then slowly works its way hot, and fans are now cold all the time

Cheers guys after much reading and debating between me and my brother we both agree that a proper bleed with the correct rear bleed valve pipe fitted should do the trick, as when im driving the car is always muggy inside and the heaters/fan doesnt sort this out and demist ect the gauge only stays half way but red light pops on now and again, so will get this done in the week thanks alot guys much appreciate your advice and comments will keep you all posted.

I own a saxo vtr 1.6 2002 plate, about 3 days ago my temp gauge started going into the red and the light was coming on so I bleed the system cause I thought it was an air lock it turned out to be the temp sensor which I replaced. It was fine till tonight the fan wouldn't turn off but the temp gauge was fine and no light was on, it started at 12 and stayed on till 3 and that was while driving in idle and while the engine was off so I checked all the fuses and they were fine but it wouldn't go off so I removed the fuse so it didn't drain my battery. Any ideas??

How can it be the temp switch? The heaters blow cold?

Coolant always flows through the heater matrix. if it blows cold there's no water in it?
