Alternator question?

   Can some one please help me out? Will a mk2 1.6 Vtr alternator fit and work on a mk2 1.4 Furio?

   i dont think so it has different output voltages

   Does this sound right? Becoz the Vtr one will be going on a 1.4 Furio it will be letting out more volts than it needs? .. Mate of mine said it wouldn't work becoz my ECU won't recognise it or something? But I have no idea .. I don't know weather to get a Furio one or take one off a Vtr

   Tell mate he`s wrong the ecu won`t be a problem.

   Tell your mate his a retard and to stick to his pushbike..
   
   It will fit & work so long as it had same connectors even if does not you can still make it work. I used a 1.1 forte alternator on my Vts for nearly 2 years.

   the voltages are the same because the battery has the same voltage as the system, it is only a mechanical connection that you should see if it is the same
