Audi A3 uneven brake wear

Right I know this is saxo problems blah blah blah whatever lol.

I changed the pads on the audi a few month ago and a few weeks ago I noticed the pads are only braking on half the disc on the offside. I took the disc n pads off n sanded them down, copper slipped the calipers and everything again and re-fitted them. A month later and again the same problem.

Baffled by this as I've done this loads of times and never had a problem. Any suggestions? Cheap shitty pads?

Personally i`d say a sticking caliper on that side.

If the piston is sticking, imagine thats the problem lol. Suprised you dont have a warped disc either tbh

The piston was sticking. I freed it up. I've heard it can be one of the sliders worn and not letting the caliper slide properly. If the bottom one is then it'd explain why its only gripping half the disk.

    Nope.avi

I had a binding caliper on my 106 1.5D (one pot floating caliper, so similar setup) and it exactly as you desribed. sliders were free but the piston was sticking a tiny bit.

Pad only contacted half the disk. because the pads don't wear flat when your caliper is binding, cos something to do with glazing and heat and shit.
