Heavy Steering

   Can someone please help me, I drove to work this morning and my steering was normal but 10mins from work and it went really heavy.. I had a look on my lunch break and it was back to normal and fine, I drove it home it was fine.. I went out in it earlier and the steering has gone heavy again but its that heavy I cant even move it :/ I have checked power steering fluid and its okay, I have drove a car with non power steering before but my car is even worse than that!! please help me someone

   Power steering pump is on its way out. You can give it a tap with a hammer and it might free it up, but it's a short term fix.

   Or google saxo / 106 power steering pump brush card and fit a new set of brushes and works a treat.

   Can be the bushes, can be the alternator that does not give properly current and more frequently can be the small switch relay near the pump that activates the pump when the alternator is charging. When this one gets stucked it will not work.
