My rear suspension set up?

I know my rear suspension is a torsion bar, but does that mean I still have rear shocks? Or do you only have shocks when you have springs?

Going to be lowering the car so want to make sure I've got it all ready haha

    Yes you have shocks.
Surely it would have been quicker to look than make a thread.

Ah ok, so if I was to lower 40mm rear torsion bar, 40mm front springs and new front shocks - would I also need to replace the rear shocks?

    You don't have to no

Will they not wear out as fast as the front ones would if I put new springs on the original shocks?

The torsion bars at the rear act like rear springs, their resistance to twisting give the spring effect.
The dampers are there just to dampen the spring effect. Same as the front.

Best option is to get a full front and rear kit for the saxo/106.
This comprises of front springs and front shocks and rear shocks.

No need to change torsion bars etc untill you want to do alot more track driving.

a torsion bar IS a spring.
