New alternator please help???

   So I've just fitted the new alternator that came today. Jump started the car all well and good but as soon as I take the leads off she dies again? Am I ment to keep the leads on a while first orrrr??? Some one please help cheers

   Depends how low your battery was when you jumped it.

   Leave them on for a couple minutes to juice up the battery. I had to get my dads C5 diesel to jump my AX the other day. Ridiculous how fast that juiced the battery lol

   Cheers .. Yeah I'm out side with it now I'm leaving the leads on for a bit then see what happens .. The battery was COMPLETE DEAD

   Nope she still dies after about 10 seconds when the leads are taken off
