power steering, help me please

    my steering keeps going heavy on a random, its done it last night really bad and has done it once today!! as the pumps are electric could it be a loose wire or wires getting wet? please help

    Your pumps on its way out, you can give it a tap with a hammer which might free it up and buy you some time but ideally you want to replace it.

    if your mechanicly minded. you can always just buy a brush card for your current pump, will need the pump taking out and prying off the back of the pump but cheaper than replacing it from a scrapper that could have the same problem.

    Did it on my old 1.4 a couple of years ago.

    Saw a guide on it via google. Don't know if there is one on here though. Failing that, smack the end with a hammer.

    It is mechanical or electrical pump? If it is electrica has mine it can be the bushes or the relay near the pump that can get stuck. If alternator is not good can also not produce enought voltage to activate the electrical pump
