vtr to vts

   looking to change my vtr to a vts engine
   just want to know what I need to do
   got the chance of a vts engine,gearbox with ecu and loom
   will it be a straight swap or will I need the ecu unlocked ?
   and how easy will that be to do and how do I go about it
