   What are the downsides of an engine been stood for a while??

   Not much just make sure it didnt have water sitting make sure it turns over by hand & before starting give a full major service.

   Been stood for about 1 and half turns over by hand

   New belts, plugs, oil, filters and maybe a head gasket and it'll be fine

   change all fluids and give full service.

   Oil and coolant if you must. Visually inspecting the belts too if you can for cracking but other wise just start it
