Need help with engine trouble

   hello guys
   i have a 52 plate saxo furio
   I have a problem with my car and wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and can give me advice before I give my money away to mechanics!
   
   when I start the car i hear what sounds like water running behind the dashboard.....this is whilst idle and get louder as i rev.
   also whilst driving my oil temp gage bounces a bit, it'll go right up to almost full or 3/4 and then after about 5 seconds it goes down again to half and then just keeps doing this.

   Coolant system needs bleeding , on a furio it's water temp not oil .

   nope head gasket has blown

   thats not why the was a water rushing noise behind the dash though, the head gasket must have been gone AS WELL, but the water rushing noise is because of the coolant system needing bleeding

   Probably because the engine is pumping air into the coolant system. I'd do a cylinder leakage test to confirm, make sure the rad cap is off when you do it.

   or the head gasket going had introduced combustion gases into the system thus enabling you to hear them going through the heater matrix
