Saxo VTR 8v diffrent engine codes?

   is there more then 1 engine type/code for 8v engines as im looking for one on ebay and i have 2003 saxo VTR

   No seen as your one is a 03 vtr you will be looking for a 3 plug 98bhp engine.

   ahh right i was bit confused as i didnt think 8v had a 3 cyl i do have 3 plug yea but just buying engine block so how will i know if the block/head its self is same as thats all i need

   Check in the sellers listing on ebay or ask the seller what year the engine is from(thats if your going that route)

   quite easy to spot a later engine.
   the early engines have a spin on metal filter. later ones has a plastic black cartridge
