vts will start but when in gear will cut out?

   so yesterday I noticed when travelling at around 30 mph engine management light would come on and car would die, pull over stopped car would start and rev whilst not in gear but when in gear trying to move off engine management light would be on and car would die again? previous to this happening after starting the car and driving after about 20 seconds the car will lose power and will all of a sudden kick in again? can anybody help?

   Get the car on a diagnostics machine & see what fault codes you have 1st.

   Sounds like coilpacks failing underload, but as said before you throw money at it get the code read

   turned out to be fuel cut off wire that leads to the switch was damaged so when engine was under load would cause a break in the circuit lol

   Might done this and it was the coil pack but it's always best to just do the spark plugs aswell while your there, also don't keep driving it as it will mess up your cat in your exhaust and will become a lot more exspensive, I got quoted £200 by a garage but got the parts my self and took half an hour too do and cost £45
