Do I disconnect brakes?

   My axle has arrived and next time I'm free is monday so I'll be replacing my axle on Monday...well trying too! Do I NEED to disconnect brake pipes or not? Done some searching and some are saying yes and some are saying no...ideally I'd prefer not to disconnect them but how/where do I undo them from the axle before I drop it off?

   look under your car from back there next to rear shocks join onto flexi pipes, i change mine and my girlfriends, chances are theyll be a night mare to get out i just replace brake lines

   So you're saying buy new brake lines?? I wanted to avoid taking brake lines off etc

   The connector from metal brake pipe to flexi is held on by 2 10mm bolts. But I bet one will snap. Soak in wd40 over night will be your best chance. And iirc taking these off means you can just pull the lines/calipers out
