Water pump change

   Going to a garage today for a hydro carbons test to see if head gaskets gone. If not could be water pump, are they esy to do? Well, do you have to undo the cambelt? I wouldnt feel very confident in un doing the cambelt but if you just got to slacken it off then I'd be ok I think!

   You need to slacken the timing belt, the water pump pulley is toothed, so you need to pin your crank the the cam before you loosen the belt.
   
   The pump should come out with a light tap, but if it starts lifting the flange, then you need to take off the water inlet on the back of the block, and hit the pump from the inside out.

   Belt needs to come off so you might as well get the kit and do the lot, check the oil seals whilst youre in there.
