Alright guys, just a quick one:
the other day my exhaust started blowing from the cat-mid section join and it had noticeable lack of power since it started blowing.
I figured it was nothing major since it was loosing back pressure and or effecting lambda readings and would be an easy fix.
anyhow i split the thing and pasted it up, re-fitted it and its sorted but still lacking some power. Not as much as when it was blowing but still not as fast as it was originally, i was just wondering if it takes time for the ecu to adjust to the new lambda readings until it settles down and is happy with the changes.. or should it just be back to normal as soon as the leak has been fixed?
Car is a saxo Vtr 2000, with a horizontal CAT and lambda up near the top of the mani.
I've had blowing exhausts before on a mk4 golf and had it fixed and its been back to normal power straight away. Can't figure out what else could be a problem as the engines pretty mint.
Any help would be cool cheers
