How to change back box?

How easy is it to change that back box on a mk2 saxo, and also what one is best why why? And I'm thinking of putting led bulbs in but what bulbs would the be? I want them in my side lights, number plate, interior and is there any others which could be changed?

backbox is very easy. its just one bracket holding it on (2x 13mm nuts) sometimes if it hasnt ever been removed it can be rusted on solid but you can usually beat them off or cut them off.

and the bulbs are 501 bulbs

Ok cheers mate are all the bulbs 501? And also if I get a new back box will I need anything else or will it just be a straight swap so to speak?

Depends what backbox you get. If you just putting another new VTR backbox on then it's a straight swap.

I believe your want to use some exhaust seal, it is a paste that once heated hardens and provides a seal between you centre pipe and backbox so there is no leaks. Don't quote me on that though as I have never done it myself.

yeah sidelights, interior, number plate and boot light are all 501

and I don't really like using exhaust paste. If you buy a new clamp for about £2 and do it up tight there shouldn't be any leaks
