Not so good vibrations.

In a bit of a pickle with my new VTR. Everytime i brake i'm getting a rumble and vibration from the near side front wheel. (ie you can feel it through the steering wheel and through the brake pedal as well as through the passengerside floor) Along with this when you come to a complete halt there is a clicking noise.
I have changed the disc and the drive shaft (twice) but still it keeps happening.

    Anyone else had similar issues?

When you fit the disk do you clean the mating face between hub And disk?

Do you use a dial test indiactor to check for run out as per the instructions with the disks?

By clean do you mean wire brush it all up? If so yes.
As for the second part no. I'm gonna take it into a garage tomorrow and get em to chuck it on the brake tester and check whether my hub/disc assembly is straight and true.
If that fails i dunno what else it could be.

No a brake tester isn't what I mean.

When fitting disks you should put a dti against the disk and spin it over , if there is any run out it will show as a difference on the guage.

If that happens you need to take the disk off and spin it 180deg and retry

No i dont have a dti. Expensive to buy?

Around £40 along with the mount I think

Had mine years as used to use it set up a series engines with hi lift cams

Could it be as simple as rotating the disc?

I can't see it being run out on the discs, usually I would say warped discs as this causes what you are describing, but if you've replaced them twice now then its to to be something else.....surely?

When you replaced the discs did it still do it immediately and every time?

I have never experienced anything like this. It's really strange. I'll see what the garage says tomorrow because my limited knowledge has run it's course now. I will post on here what the garage says. I'm clueless to whats causing it. :/

A total long shot are you sure it is the front? Just try it down the road and gradually pull the handbrake up without touching the brakes pedal , and see if the vibration appears that way. It may well be the rear causing you the problem

    sticking caliper? warping the disc.
    at a long shot.
