As far as im aware atspeed dont do a "ecu side" engine mount for the BE4R conversion. they simply tell people to "trim the gearbox casing"
dosnt install much confidence really. if you were to do that you need to make sure it is 100% flat or your going to get high and low spots.
Technically trimming down the gearbox will lift the box up a few mm to match the Ecu side.
But in reality the ecu side needs lowering down to suit. the best thing would be a whole new alloy section. one peice that bolts directly onto the engine.
no fuss, no cutting or chopping.
But alloy isnt cheap.
If i had time to do so, which i may attempt i will measure the difference in hight on either side and have some shims machined up to go between the engine mount arm and the section that goes onto the block to lower the engine using the original Vibra/baker bm mounts ect..
Like so. but you just have to make sure that the bit above the red section does not foul the cambelt covers.
