Best front pads and discs for vts

#2I'm using Group N OMP pads on grooved disc's and blue fluid and work a treat for me and never had any fade at all
-
#3Thanks il have a look at them had the end green stuff pads on my standard calipers didn't think much of them
-
#5Thanks

#6For sprints?
Any good quality disc will do, Brembo ones on ebay for £33.13 delivered would do the job.
Its really not worth paying extra for grooved/drilled discs.
As for pads, their are so many available, personally i use Carbotech XP8. -
#7Yea for sprints Dave okay thanks for the advice il have a look at them aswell
-
#8The XP8's aint cheap mind. (£100+)

#9Brembo discs from KAM Racing!
Brembo Discs
If you want great track and race pads at a good price then CL Brakes RC6 Pads will work wonders. I supply these to many race teams.
CL Brakes 4017 RC6

#10Gti6 have larger brakes, green stuff pads
-
#11larger does not always mean better and green stuff are basically a budget performance pad, not really in the same league as CL Brakes, Carbotech etc. Ever seen a WRC car running green stuff?3 users thanked this post: , ,

#12agree with kamracing, i have the cheapest of cheap national disks and RC6 pads on standard size calipers and disks,
it stops like its hit a wall!!
i only put national disks on it because they get changed everytime out because the pads are that harsh it wrecks them... iirc they were something like £20 the pair for disks.
however if you are thinking of using them on the road... dont theyll squeel like mad and drive you nuts... your better off with the ferrodo ds2500 for fast road/track use -
#13Cl6 on my 106 are ridiculous
-
#14Personally i have brembo max discs on the front with brembo pads and ate super blue fluid, with standard rear discs and brembo pads, stops bloody well, no noise and wasnt expensive
-
#15Discs are a bit of a wildcard in my opinion, too many options and a lot are aimed at idiots being drilled and grooved for no reason. We always go for F4R pads though and they work damn well on the stages.
As for fluid, Castrol SRF without a doubt if you're going to be giving it some stick. -
#16Those pads are serious money! Discs are actually really quite simple. Its the usual marketing bullshit that makes people get confused. I save my customers a lot of money by recommending only the disc they need, not what they want...

Agree RE the discs. There are too many options out there and most of them are a load of crap compared to what you actually need, and that changes a lot between road and track as well.
