Unplug the battery for 1/2 an hr,if that doesn`t work check the earths each side of the lower dash.Failing that a plug maybe loose at the rear of the instrument cluster.

I had that issue, my speed sensor had gone on the gearbox, had to replace mine, about a tenner and did it myself. Our could be a loose connection to it?

My battery keeps draining so I had to get someone to connect the radio, so it can only be switched on if the ignition is on now. I had to keep getting people to jump start me and had enough.

Now a week later my dashboard is dead, lists on there work but nothing else. The sped/rev/temp and fuel are all dead.

I've also noticed that the power to the radio keeps coming on and off.

My car is a VTR 2001 plate, the silver and grey limited edition one. I've only started getting problems in the last few months, other than that I've never had any issues with the car at all since she was new.

It's done 80k on the clock now, I should expect these things now.

    Can anyone help?

Sorry I mean disconnect the radio so that it's on even if they key is not in the car. It's not so you have to switch the ignition on.

    Could be water then?

Try spreading wd40 on all of your electrical connections like the sockets etc, worked for mine before!
