((1))is it pozi to put in to a furio 1.4i a head block of a 1.6i (8v/8v),to make it in to a 1.6i,or why cant you do the swop?
    ((2))would a clutch from a 8v 1.6i(black dimond 3plate uprated) fit the 8v 1.4i?
    many regards to sax-p.com members
    keep up the  shitron

Yep engine conversion is possible but hard work. Estimate car price and maybe consider buying a 1.6i 8V instead.

Clutch should fit fine as I believe all Saxo cluthes are the same build. Just ratios are different.

its possible to do this with a vts head into a vtr cause all the bore is the same and piston size, all the head is is the valves weather its 16valve twin cam or 8valve single cam you would probably need to change the whole engine to get your furio upto a 1.6 as the bore of the furio would be different

stiffler - thats not true, the 16v pistons have valve cut-outs on the inlet side for clearance so it could be dangerous.

roz - are you talking about a full engine or just head? you aren't being too clear?

mrbirdpoo - there is 2 (at least) different size clutches, it goes off what flywheel you have not the gearbox.

    ok,if i took a 8v head(just the head)1.6 and slapd it on my engine,basicaly head swop 8v/1.6- to a -8v/1.4 so it would be a 1.6 head on a 1.4 engine what would it do/would it be better,worse,wouldent fit,faster,slower,
and what is the head for exactly?
my clutch bearing is gone and i can get parts for a vts,(8v) thats why i would like the clutch in mine but im confused, what gear box and clutch would fit in the 1.4i silver top without needing any mods/parts just a straght swop
thanks a lot,i know i ramble on a bit but need to mod my engine soon coz it is proppa fucked,so thanks to all that help

any gearbox will fit your car. but what clutch you use is dependant upon your flywheel, ie vts flywheel = vts clutch

your head has the valves and cam/s in it, also the spark plugs.
i would look at a AX gti head, find out if it will def fit first though. as the AXs get more power out of a 1.4 than you get from a vtr.
