Important! : Adding ARBs to 1.1

    Hey, guys.

    I have a 1998 1.1 106 with no front ARBs.

    Already lowered the car by 35mm - not looking to go any lower. Have 15" wheels and low profile, sticky tyres on them, so I think that the best place to go from there for a sporty feel is adding ARBs.

    I'm assuming that I'll have to change the wishbones to those from a GTi or Rallye model to get a hole in them for the ARB to attach to?

    I kinda know what to do, and it should be an okay job for me, but I'm lacking guidance, I guess...

    Also, does anyone have an overall price for a conversion like this? I can't really be throwing money around on an apprentice wage.

    Some 1.1s came with a different spec of arb which is bolted direct to the wishbone, might be worth seeing if your wishbone have the bolt holes for this to pick up on

    Does beg the question why you'd do that kinda work on a 1.1

    My 2001 1.1 desire has a arb bolted directly to wishbones, pretty sure it's a straight swap for gti wishbones on yours.
