Servicing

  1. #1
    Going to be getting the vts mapped next week so plan on servicing it before then.

    What all would I need to do?

    I know the likes of;

    Oil
    Oil filter
    Fuel filter
    Spark plugs

    Got air filter and Gearbox oil was changed recently, is there anything else?

    Also a query, when cold the car sometimes struggles through the rev range when its just started, what could this be? Iit because it has cams but isn't mapped?

    Cheers

    Well how are you supposed to get anywhere? Lol

    What I mean is it sometimes struggles as if its being restricted, but then that stops and it runs fine. I don't rev it out if that's what u mean, just to 2/3k

    Bah, that's more or less common. A car that needs servicing may misfire from cold. You'll probably notice the engine will be smoother and have better delievery once you change all the filters, oil and plugs.

    Kudos for doing the box oil, they do get quite stiff during winter time when cold.

    Yea well its an s1 rallye box so don't want the slight crunching in 2nd to get any worse.

    Cheers so I'll get that all done for next week then

    You'll have the paper oil filter. I think you'll be able to pick up what's in that kit a bit cheaper from motor factors.
