    Me again.....
im getting my car ready for its mot after it being parked up for 12 months and on my last mot I had an advisory that my exhaust has a minor leak of exhaust gases...just need to know if the problem will of deteriorated in the past 12 months or if its still just going to be a minor.
sorry for sounding thick but as a girl im not quite sure what affect or defect this will have nor how to fix it without it costing me an arm and a leg.

If you are completely clueless then it's best taking it to a garage… NOT kwik fit. Get someone who knows about cars a bit to take it for you as well as they will most likely spout you a load of pish and charge you loads knowing you won't have a clue

My fella and my brother know a bit about cars I was kind of wondering if it is a problem they could fix at home rather than a garage. It had a new exhaust when I bought the car 2 years ago is it anything to do with this?

If there's a leak then it will be an easy fix......your brother will manage it no probs.

Will I be okay sending it in for its mot like this or am I best getting it sorted before?

Most aftermarket cheap naff exhaust leak somewhere.
Best way to solve this is some exhaust paste.
Only thing it'll affect is the emissions as I could cause high Co2.
Best thing to do is take it for its mot and see what happens.
I'd just get the engine nice and hot (along with the cat) to burn off any moisture.
