Anything to worry about?

    hi, have been complaining recently as my car seems to pull slow in 2nd gear when i put my foot down. opened the bonnet and i noticed what maybe a leak, i think its on top of the gearbox. not sure how to upload so i uploaded pics here https://www.facebook.com/ashley.jenkin.1 thanks

    I'm not sure about the oil, are you sure it's not coming from anywhere else?

    However the more likely culprit for the poor pull in 2nd is that air filter, where you have it situated at the moment is going to have a tremendous amount of heat soak. The engine responds better to cold air, so get the OEM set up back on or buy a inclosed induction kit your most likely find that will fix your issue.

    Its been pulling fine in 2nd gear since i brought the car last may,so i dont think its that as it was there when i brought it.

    Ether way change it, your car will run so much more smoothly. It may even fix the problem...

    rough looking air filter, likely to pick up heat soak during summer and humidity in winter. When was it last serviced?

    Heat soak wont cause a major issue like this, itd have to be seriously hot in the engine bay to do that. Looks like its leaking oil from the reverse switch which is odd as its at the top of the gearbox unless oil has run down from the rocker cover on the engine
