Brake Fluid Change

  1. #1
How would I drain all the brake fluid from the lines and the actuall tank itself as I've noticed its dirty and looks grimey, and should I do this before I put my new pads on?
    Thanks

Sorry if this has been asked before.

Don't drain it that just causes a whole world of pain!!

Just buy some new fluid and flush it through with something like an eezi bleed.

You can tell when the new fluid is at the caliper as the color changed

I have one of them self bleed kits that goes onto the bleeding nipple and its not worth a rub tbh, where can I get a decent self bleed kit from?
    Thanks

    Halfords sell an eezi bleed

It uses air from your spare tyre to push the fluid through.

You then go around to each nipple in the correct order crack it off and let the fluid out

No doubt you'll snap a bleed valve off, they're brittle when old. So either have spare valve + tap n die set or 2nd hand calipers ready

Just use the eezi bleed with new fluid in it until it pushes all the old crap out. Can do a saxo in 20 minutes with one with out even taking the wheels off
