thermostat

   hi guys i got new thermostat for my mk2 vtr but when i come to change it the stat was stuck in plastic housing and would not budge so not wanting to break it i just put it back on anyone no how i can get this out.

   ps i got the stat from GSF so should be the correct 1

   Well when i changed the thermostat on my old vtr(mk2 body mk1 engine) it was built into the plastic housing so just changed the whole lot. Not sure if their the same on mk2 engines tho but would of thought so. I went to halfords at first for one they gave me just the thermostat which wouldnt fit so got one with housing from eurocarparts.

   so i don't need to get a new housing as part of the stat is plastic an the 1 GSF gave me is all metal

   I would of just bought the whole thing, their 11 quid off eurocarparts, less messin about aswell.
