Alternator belt

   My alternator belt snapped on Friday, bought a new one and it's just snapped again.. Anyone know why this might be? It wasn't over tensioned so I'm a bit confused!

   Does the alternator have any movement ie loose nuts or slight wobble as that will cause it to be off set and cause it to snap.

   2 different types of pulley on a saxo,a ribbed 1 & the old fashioned type.Are you fitting the correct 1?

   It's a 1.1 Saxo... It has the V shaped belt on it
