VTR upgrade

  1. #1
I want to replace head on VTR with XSi head. So KFZ head on NFZ bottom end.

    My questions are :

Are better VTR injectors or XSi injectors ?
May I use XSi intake manifold ?
Can I use XSi ECU ?
How many HP will I gain ?*

    *Other upgrades - 4-2-1 exhaust manifold, de-cat.

Also I want to use XSi gearbox.

    Cheers!

VTR injectors wont fit quite correct if its a vtr without a fuel return - they dont sit in the head quite correctly when using the later fuel rail.
However if you are going to this trouble then keep the XSi injectors and have the loom spliced to your VTR one so you can run the xsi ecu.
Intake manifolds are different in sensor setups so its best to keep the vtr one if you can, unless you wish to changed more of the loom to suit.
Regarding gains its difficult to say but it will be "better" than a standard vtr setup

So the best will be XSi loom with XSi injectors and XSi ECU ?

Are there any other parts from XSi which I should use ?

other than the gearbox nothing of worth really

I have just gone the other way in my S1 xsi......

    2003 VTR bits:
Bottom end, Front legs (Apex Springs soon to go on), Anti roll bar, Drop links, Discs & pads.

    xsi bits:
Front springs (as they are shorter) Gearbox, ecu, non modified loom, head, injectors & throttle body (modified to fit S1 Rallye Inlet).

    S1 Rallye bits:
    Inlet maifold

    It's a bit of a frankenstein peperami
