Important! : vts no temp of fans

    I have a vtr 53 plate. I changed the interior loom to a vtr 03 reason being it had been cut.. the vts engine came out a 2000 model. the engine loom is out a 52 plate. I changed al the plugs and sensors and I still have no fans or temp working. why is this any one help plz ???? cheers

    Faulty temperature gauge sensor,the later mk2 saxo's the fan coming on is controlled by the ecu,which gets a signal from the temp sensor.on the thermostat housing btw.

    the ecu is unlocked it wont be the ecu will it ???

    No, unlocking an ECU only prevents the immobiliser communicating with it.

    Test your fan out either by bridging the connector,or running a live direct from the fan to the battery.

    sorry to hijack a thread and purley out of curiosity, what is the usual temp the engine reaches before the fan kicks in ? only herd my fan kick in a few times since i bought my vtr lol .

    On the gauge, the fan usually kicks in between 1/2 and 3/4

    cheers that does sounds about right when the fan kicked in , also exsplains why my fan hardly comes on as my gauge sits at bang on half way most of the time

    There aren't any free hanging connectors are there? Specifically around the thermostat area.
