running issues

while driving as in first started it has issues of not being able to give any beans for a few seconds then resumes normal, as in I put foot down and it stutters for a bit, I remove my foot from accelerator and put back on and it goes back to normal.

as said in prev posts ive replaced map n icv in last year n half and have had lambda unplugged to see if it was that but wasn't, its going into garage for mot, n service so wanna make it a cheap fix by giving them ideas where to look rather than a hefty bill of stabbing in the dark

Possibly a faulty fuel pump giving out intermittent pressure/flow.

Would that not cause issues on start up as if it wasn't working wouldnt it make it hard to start

The pump could be on its way out,so temperamental remove it give it tap then replace it.that way you'll no if it's faulty.

Had the same problem and it was like you say stevo67 the fuel pump. The car Started fine but when you put your foot to the floor it stutters and loss power but let off and put back on power returns

ive only found full units on eurocarparts which are bout £140 can you buy the parts separate that have broke? or do I have to fork out that full amount?

and what sort of fitting time will it take?

Easy to fit lift up the rear seat where your bum rests.the pull up the plastic disc, using a flat blade screw driver undo the locking ring.lift out the fuel pump and disconnect it then place in a bucket, connect up the new pump place back in the tank.put the locking ring on turn it until the arrows match up.the pumps one unit so the whole pump has to be replaced.
