   I already know this is a stupid question but i am going to ask anyway, is the tu5j4 engine the same engine that people are calling a jp4 ive tried to search for the answer but cant find anything

   The JP4 has a different head, bigger ports but smaller cam profile and different springs etc. Search some more and you'll find enough information

   The TU5JP4 is basically a newer version of the J4
   The JP4 is what's used in the c2 vts and various other models

   That's not entirely accurate.....
   
   The jp4 is used in the c2 vtr which is 110bhp
   
   The c2 vts uses a jp4s which produces something like 125bhp
   
   The j4 which is found in the 106 gti/saxo vts produces 120bhp
   
   The differences between them have been mentioned above.

   try to find a cheap head....or if you want to give money for a very good result go for a newer head with big ports.
