VTS Struts on a VTR

Ok, this is just me making sure everything is going to be ok.

Been offered some From struts from a VTS with Gaz coilovers already fitted. I know these will just fit no problem, am I right in thinking that if they currently have a wheel bearing for a flat drive shaft I can just get a tapered one pressed in and all is good?

Also, the new drive shafts I put in a few months back have the ABS rings on, these will just slot in the new struts I'm getting but they won't cause and problems will they?

Just want to be 100% that's all

Obvs make sure they tapered or non tapered hubs to match your drivesharts.

But yes they will be fine.

Edit: I read it wrong, I would guess it would be ok!
Save yourself the hassle and put the coilovers on your strut?

That's what I was planning to do but I thought I'd save myself a bit work. If there a tapered hub then I'll just throw them on. If not I'll just build my strut up.

am i right in thinking vtr's are tapered driveshafts and vts is a non tapered? just curious as im looking into getting some J&R shafts and am unsure if i need tapered or non tapered.

Mk1 vt's are flat and mk2 are tapered, as for the crossover who knows!!

If your still driving the 2003 R then you'll want tapered.

i've got a 1999 mk1 with mk2 struts on it. ABS rings dont matter whether they are fitted or not, providing you dont require them for your ABS system that is!

    No dramas.

Good point by Gandi, as long as the struts are original to the car they'll be tapered.
