what's best height to lower front end by?
  2. #2
around 40mm, 30,35,40,45mm is best for handling and everyday driveability Go too low and itll make the handling worse on bumpy roads, ie every road in the country and youll be forever slowing right down to get it over speed bumps etc.

sound then il get some 40mm don't want it too low looks stupid on the deck I think how low would the back have to go to look right with the front lowered
  4. #4
40mm is barely noticeable, youll only want it lower after a year or so.

60mm is a good height. Its not too low, youll never catch anything at that height unless youre being stupid

I don't want it stupidly low thow i will have to check some pics and the car not gunna be ragged around I'd want it lowered simply just for looks wise

Ice just lowered mine by 60mm and I'm selling some 40mm springs if your interested mate? But 60mm is decent lol
  7. #7
I had mine down 40mm on -50mm apex lowering kit.
    You could tell is lower.
    Look ace IMHO.
Never had any problems with speed humps.
Just scraped front bumper on curbs.

think i might go in the middle for 50mm then
  9. #9
im at 50mm and i think its perfect, doesnt scrape on speedbumps and looks perfect not to low but clean looking
  10. #10
    50 it is then

I would say 35 is the best compromise, under that you get more grip but you lose on terms of harsher ride..

looks nice and clean what they like ova speed bumps that low and its those vts wheels look best on them unless u wanna get a set of xpensive deep dish
  17. #17
i never had problems with speedbumps at that height. Obviously you had to drive slower over them but was fine.

Yeah youre not meant to have lower strut braces on a car lower than 40mm, why mine is 40mm, I wanna stick a lower brace on it

I ain't fussed about taking it off neway thay was on the car when I bought it

Look out for the power steering pipe coming out the rack on the drivers side rubbing on the drivers side track rod when you lower it

If you want to go low and have a lower strut brace fit the Satchell lower brace

    Fit it with apex suspension
