I have just bought a 2000 vtr which has a knocking noise on the front left wheel, im told it might be something to do with the wishbone or ball joint as it is a continuous knocking when driving.... can anyone give me some advice please??

Sounds like driveshaft if its continuous when driving...but yeah could also be the wish bone or even top mount bush and bearings

Not 100% sure, I wouldnt have thought so, definitely be an advisory though I'd say, especially if its a bush, theyll pick up on it and put it as an advisory. Im not 100% sure though tbh, really depends what the knocking noise is I guess

found out the problem a knackerd top mount thats all but gonna do the bearings while im at at.. also does anyone know if a loose thrust bearing or clutch release bearing fail an mot as my clutch makes a bit of noise when disengaged... also is this easy enough to fix (im fairly mechaniclly minded, done loads of motorbikes).
