Noisy team HEKO wind deflector

  1. #1
I have a very noisy team heko wind deflector on the near side it rattles about and is doing my head in I have the clips and have tried putting them in different positions to no avail.
What would be the best tape to use to stop it moving about and rattling - the offside is fine and doesn't rattle at all.

Suggestions please before I throw them in the bin lol. I accept French cars will rattle but this is really starting to piss me off.

Never used the clips with any of mine before. When bought new they have a strip of tape on them which is usually more than adequate to support the deflector in place... Did you use that?

Failing that, Get some decent double sided sticky tape and refit them.

remove/refit. And don't go to halfrauds for that, they'er way overpriced. My local car shop does 3 times as much tape for 3 times cheaper.

I had a set of Heko's on my 1st car, never used clips or tape, they we're pretty tight in the gap. used to hum a bit in the wind when driving along but that was about it they are great tho. could do with a set for the Sax really! what's a set cost these days?

Yep, I did use the strips but the passenger one has lost its stickiness.
Looking at tape now will order some.

Not sure whether to get the foam tape or standard double sided tape, I suppose 6mm would be the right width.

So is that the same as 9 times cheaper for the equivalent length of tape at your local car shop over Halfords?

Yep, I definitely like them, well will do when it stops rattling about.
I seem to have a bad problem with condensation on this Saxo much worse than the last one and helps keep it de fugged in the wet.

Aye, Agree with you there, can be absolutely huffing it down outside and have the windows a jar open and not get wet! they helped my old car as well with speed. without the Heko's anythin above 30mph boomed air about in the cabin, with heko's I could hit about 45-50ish before the booming started! haha

Have you put the clips in the right way as I had same problem but all I did was force them in more so there higher wedged in and seems fine. Don't work too well on motorways tho with window down too much.

Yep point of arrow up against the deflector.
I have tried them every which way, hopefully this adhesive tape will sort it as the supplied adhesive has failed completely on the nearside.

Lol mine don't make a noise they just fall off lol and at least 3 times I've had my arm out window to save them from me loosing one lol. Tend to keep the window up now on motorways lol.

Right on that one I would rather try and purchase from eBay or other company's online and wait a few days for delivery and get it cheaper than go to halfords.

Hmm, removed the deflectors tonight to clean them ready to reattach and the noise is still there without the deflectors so its back to the drawing board.

I know Saxo's rattle but I'm not ready to give up the fight lol.
It could be the doorcards but I did recently attach them properly ( previous owner snapped a load of clips and didn't bother sorting it )
I'm running out of ideas maybe I should just strip it and put it together piece by piece.

I know my door cards rattle as there are broken clips either side but dont rattle too much, hope you win bud!
