MK2 VTR Oil Filter Bracket

  1. #1
I have a bit of a problem, Since I changed to a 4-2-1 manifold a few years back I took this silver aluminum arm off with the filter to allow the new manifold to fit snugly and reverted to the MK1 oil filter set up. Now I'm restoring the car back to standard with the proper CAT I now need this again but I've lost it.

I have been to the scrap yard and took one from a 1.1 and tried to fit it last assuming all these arms would fit 8v's but the 4 bolt holes don't align up properly and case the filter to foul on the engine. I think the arm is too long. Im going to a french car breakers on Saturday morning and was wondering if they had a 1.4 or a 16v engine, if one of their arms would fit?

    I'm after part #1

Here is what it looks like, but a 1.1 version.

    It's solved.

The guys at A5 Salvage, French Car Specialists had tried and tested a Xara 1.6 VTS oil arm against a 1.6 VTR block and it fits, The difference is the 1.1's and 1.4's are slightly longer in length causing it to foul against the engine.

    Problem is now fixed.

    Thanks
