This seems to be a common problem. My saxo is a pain to start in the morning. Removed and tested glow plugs and they work fine. Noticed large air bubbles in the clear fuel line between the filter and injector pump. Once started the car runs fine but bubbles consonantly run through the fuel lines. Can anyone advise me how to cure this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

#2Hi there,
We had a nightmare with this issue. In the end I traced it to a badly leaking fuel filter sucking air in, fitting a replacement didn't help as the flange on the head was damaged by a PO I think.
I had to blank off the pipes and bypass it with an inline glass filter between the priming 'squeezy bulb' and fuel pump, however you lose the ability to drain water from the filter this way but I'll live with it.
Hope this helps. BTW I'm new here - hello everybody!!

#3That was actually my second question. Could I just bypass the filter with an in-line filter from ebay. Anything as long as its easier to start and eliminates the problem.Quote:Hi there,

#4Pretty sure there's a bleed pipe running off from the filter which you need to bleed.
