Hello there,i heard there is an alternator heatshield for the Saxo 1.4 8v produced by Citroen/Peugeot that you can also use on the VTS to protect the alternator in case of an aftermarket steel manifold being fitted, anyone heard about it? Thanks.

Itll not fit ontop of the vts alternator set up..my 421 sits close to the alternator. Never had any issues.

Thats the 8v set up thats why. What set up do you have?..

Going by your profile '16v' itll not fit. Lol.

For what ross posted youll need the bracket etc,.

Yes,it is a 16v,i read that some people have had issues with the alternator because of the manifold and this looked like an efficient and easy way to protect it.

Best chance would be a scrapyard. If im wrong im wrong fair doos but that setup im led to believe is the 8v what ross posted. Mine sits higher, tad close to the mani but never had a issue.

Yeah I just looked on servicebox and can't find one for the 16v. Interestingly I know my gti came from the factory with one. Weird.

Iirc the 307 1.6 16v has an alternator heat shield. Should bolt straight in.

    Part 6/7

    Yep i see now:

The manifold on mine sits a lot closer than that, hardly put a finger in that space, won't this get melted by the heat?
