I posted here yesterday with a problem with my Saxo 1.5d. There was air ingress from the filter to the injector pump. I swapped out the filter and the bubbles remained. I believe the ingress is from the filter housing. I was wondering could I just bypass the normal filer housing and install a clear glass filter from the primer to the injector? Save me replacing the seals. Also if I cure the problem how would I bleed the remaining air from the pipes. Thanks guys!
Can I bypass fuel filter with in-line filter (Saxo 1.5d)

#2yes you can, although its normally just some little valve thing at the back, which you can bung a load of silicone sealant in to stop the problem
also, i dont know the model, but i used some rover filter, -
#3Thankyou. I located the valve at the back of the filter housing. Filled it with silicon sealant also covered all joints with it. Once car started the bubbles dissappeared. And the car was running a treat. Saved me a few quid.Quote:yes you can, although its normally just some little valve thing at the back, which you can bung a load of silicone sealant in to stop the problem
