gearbox/clutch/linkage

   Hello recently my car was jumping out of 5th and the revs were holding at 4000rpm like a constant rev? Then a few days later I was driving then the car literally seized up and got jammed in reverse and wont budge. is this linkage gearbox or something else cheers

   also first gear upto 3000 rpm was churning like a metal grinding sound but this happened only sometimes

   Sounds like gearbox has gone...gearbox, rear axle and rust are 3 big killers for saxos, you can get another gearbox for probs £50-100

   what's the situation with the gearbox oil level?

   just had a guy come out and check it over he seems sure that its the full clutch system creating this problem he said thats why reverse is getting jammed . the gear box is going into every gear with no play but still gets jammed in reverse when warmed up . so monday im having a full new clutch kit fitted to see if thats the problem
