New sportex exhaust is really quiet?

   Just fitted a new sportex backbox exhaust for my vtr but it barely sounds any different from the orginal? i've read conflicting things about them either sounding really loud when they're brand new or taking a while to warm up?
   
   Any help here guys? Cheers

   Do you have the straight through centre section or the silencer? I've had a Sportex catback for a few months, it's only marginally louder now from when I bought it and it generally warms after a 15 minute drive from cold.
