How do you get the clips off the back heater strips?

   I've got to change my tailgate and window and I was wondering how do you take the little clips off the back window heater strips? Sorry this isn't making much sense but I hope someone can understand what I mean

   The copper coloured male spade connectors are part of the heating element and can't be removed.the black connectors pull off them.

   Are they quite hard to pull off? I gave it a little go but it was so stiff I didn't know if it would be easier to put a flathead screwdriver in there to help pull it off

   Well as the other tailgate is being scrapped you could try the screwdriver method,or a pair of long nosed pliers.
