Hi all, having trouble with a HG change and need my faith restoring a little in euro car parts:
Got a HG last Friday but upon opening it I realised it was slightly damaged. Fair enough I thought, but I returned it today and they told me it was lucky it had been faulty and had been returned as they told me they had given me the wrong one for my car
Well the one they just gave me I physically checked in store for defects, it looks alright but you know that little removable triangular bit that sits in the bottom left corner of the gasket as it is positioned on the block, where you often get an oil leak from, is it supposed to be loose? Like, not sealed in on one side, I can push it out on that side and see light through the gap. The guy insisted they were all like that and it's fine. As I'm now sitting outside euro car parts typing this, I would like to know if you guys can confirm this is ok
